K & K Wins 2025 AmeriStar Packaging Award

We are proud to announce that K & K has won the 2025 AmeriStar Packaging Award for the Industrial and Commercial category.

For this contest, we showcased the Horseshoe Optic Shipping Tray, a custom-designed solution that fully protects fragile optics while slashing material use and shipping volume.

The tray uses a 180° crisscross stacking method, allowing one tray to act as the cover for another. That smart design cut stack height in half and eliminated the need for a separate lid, reducing costs and tooling while increasing efficiency for both manufacturing and assembly teams.

From an operational standpoint, it’s faster to produce, easier to handle, and takes up less space on the bench, in the box, and in the recycling stream. And by reducing damaged product in transit, it delivers real-world results that matter.
